Totally agree, changed it to fierce as it is rather closer. I feel like one needs a word between ruthless and fierce that captures the bloodlust in the word "شرس" without the negative connotations in ''ruthless''. To me "fierce" is linked more to appearance, not so much action, so it falls short of "شرس". Ruthless is, as you said, a bit too much. Oh well, some Arabic words like this one, I feel, are way too precise for English to handle. Thanks a lot for the suggestion and rating :)
