چون عهده نمی‌شود کسی فردا را
حالی خوش کن تو این دل شیدا را
می نوش به نور ای ماه که ماه
بسیار بتابد و نیابد ما را
من هیچ ندانم که مرا آنکه سرشت
از اهل بهشت کرد یا دوزخ زشت
جامی و بتی و بربطی بر لبِ کشت
این هر سه مرا نقد و تو را نسیه بهشت
ابر آمد و زار بر سر سبزه گریست
بی باده‌ی گلرنگ نمی‌باید زیست
این سبزه که امروز تماشاگه ماست
تا سبزه‌ی خاک ما تماشاگه کیست

Moonlight Melody
Since no one can tomorrow guarantee,1
Enjoy the moment, let your heart be free;
Ah, drink, my Moon, in moonlight for the moon
Will make its rounds but won't find you and me!
Never do I know that my maker's pottery clay2
Came from the paradise or hideous inferno’s ley
Give me wine, a beauty and an oud3by a field today
And let paradise be all yours at the end of the days
The cloud came over the meadow and cried out loud2
Without the rosy wine, living life doesn't worth the fraud
Let's enjoy the view of the meadow today, as tomorrow
Who knows who enjoys our graveyard's grass swards?
