* this song is written in 1939 as a non-formal anthem of border tank divisions.
Then and a few times before a lot of incidents (and military operations too) happened at soviet-japan border, some of which were called Soviet-Japan wars by some sources. That's why this song was written about defeating "samurais".
** Modern, politically-neutral version prefers "foe's squad / enemy" instead of "samurais"
