Hi guys! I'm Peter. I was born Finland-Swedish by my native Finnish parents in 1968. Swedish is my mother tongue. At 3rd grade in school, I had to start learning Finnish. The most difficult language I've ever learned and I'm still learning. I consider myself a native Finnish speaker because of circumstances, and by no means I am right there. Close. At 5th grade we had to learn English in School. At first I never really cared for it, but in high school I got a profound hankering for English and I'm now arguably better at English than my mother tongue Swedish. (I moved to the USA in 2001 so I can definitely say I know perfect American English). In 7th grade I started leaning German which today still is a language I try to keep fluent in. In high school, I quickly picked up French and got a Laudatur. Anyway, I'm super interested in languages and the problems translating lyrics pose. My goal when translating is to make it "Understandable for ALL". This is why I sometimes pick on English translators selecting totally British words not understood (or wrongly understood) in the US.
