Noone wanted to be found guilty without wine - not that it's the only line that could use some explanation but for this particular line i prefer to provide it. This line contains a game of words. There's Russian word "vina" - denoting "guilt" and the word "vino" denoting "wine". So original set expression was "guilty without guilt".
