Echo is a "Mock" repetition or reverberation of frequencies such as light, sound, water wave, or whatever you dream of.

For me,this means : Just you and I will make love into the wave reverberating (like echo)....

So a song is sounds, a sound is a wave, isn't it? When it bumps into an obstacle it bounces back in form of an echo and goes back to its source.
So when she hears the song and its sounds bounce back from her she doesn't want to let this echo go from her. She wants her lover and herself (like surfers) ride this wave back right into the song and the Island the song is about.
I think this should be just more simple. Echo means to me repeatedly.
In my opinion, it's a pun on the two meanings of "wave":
1) pressure waves that cause sound (as Razi Nagavi already explained)
2) sea waves that can be ridden/surfed
An echo mixing with a sound would be "surfing/riding" on the pressure "waves" that our brain interprets as sound.
Which is clearly not what happens as far as physics are concerned, but in poetry everything is possible :)
To be honest, I think a native speaker should review the lyrics. There seems to be the same text all over the internet, but I can't hear "ride into" at all (I'm not a native, which is why I'm not making statements, I'm just voicing doubts). I hear something along the lines of "private to the wave-like echo". I could be wrong, and my version hardly makes more sense, but it was the only line in the stanza in question that sounded off to me, so I'd start with reviewing. Cheers.
