Do you really think so? I really like this adaptation, it's probably one of the best I've read (I especially liked the "My repressed power is now free / My soul dances and takes any shape it wants" and "You'll build your world anew" passages). I'm very positively surprised by the choices they made, though I also like the variety Glory opted for.
May I ask you what does "رها شو" mean exactly? Is it like a "let yourself go" or more like a "let it be"? I'm very curious to know why it can be translated also with "be free" :)
BTW, if you want to add a note, you can replace the * with "fn" in square brackets: open with [ fn ]put your note after it and close with[ / fn ] (removing the spaces in between). The result will look like this.1
- 1. This is my note
I don't know exactly, it's an internal feeling. The rhymes sound forced/ unnatural and her style of singing is "westernized" (in order to match the music).
"رها" has a few diffrent meanings such as free, unbound, at liberty, loose and etc. "شو" is just be/ become. It can be translated also to "be free" becuase of the line that comes after it in that specific section: "رها شو، رها شو چون نور در آسمان", Be free, be boundless like the light in sky/ space. It's only because I'm obsessed with Īhām that I add the other side of the words.
And thanks for the tip about adding notes :)
Update: Just listened to the Glory version and it's miles better, like by a thousand miles. Only thing off was the voice actor/ singer. She sounds too young and inexperienced.
Borrowed this:"Let the storm rage on" from the original song
