Original lyrics
Translation
C'est impossible
It's Impossible
Do you think that the sky
could live without sun?
But no, it's impossible.
Do you think that a child
could live without springtime?
But no, it's impossible.
And likewise,
I who love you,
who waits for you and dreams of you,
do you truly think
that I could live without you?
But no, it's impossible.
Others, better than me,
would they know how to give you everything?
But no, it's impossible.
Me, if I had you,
would I need anything else?
But no, it's impossible.
And if ever you wanted the entire world,
I will give it to you.
I would sell everything including my life
without the least regret
because living without you,
that to me is impossible.
Others, better than me,
would they know how to give you everything?
But no, it's impossible.
Me, if I had you,
would I need anything else?
But no, it's impossible.
And if ever you wanted
the entire world,
I will give it to you.
I would sell everything including my life
without the least regret
because living without you,
that to me is impossible—
impossible—
mmmm, it's impossible.

This is a French adaptation of the Spanish-language song "Somos Novios (It's Impossible)" originally written and recorded by Mexican songwriter Armando Manzanero by 1968. Sid Wayne adapted the song into English in 1970 and Perry Como first recorded it that same year under the title "It's Impossible." It has been covered in various languages by dozens of artists.
