- 4. Although this is in the present tense in German, would it maybe make more sense if it was in future tense in English? It might be just me, but I have the feeling that the waiting in the next life has yet to take place.

I hear it as "Ein Elben Licht".
you are right it is "Ein Elben Licht"
"Ein elben Licht" would be "an elven light" or "the elven light". I think that makes sense since it mentions Elenion just before.
