The version where she wore fluffy costume. Now I know why she wore that costume, it supposed to be Christmas / New Year theme, since this was performed in December 31, 1973; the new year eve show.

Asaoka Megumi (real name: Fujii Kayoko, born: October 11, 1955) was a top idol in early to mid 1970s. She was well-known with her innocent looks and her hime haircut (princess haircut).
Megumi already briefly experienced working in entertainment when she was a baby appearing in advertisement, and became child actor in a stage play when she was 3 years old. Then, at 5th grade, Megumi and her mother moved to Tokyo to support her sister (just few years older than Megumi) who lived alone there to pursue her singing career. When she was in junior high school, Megumi started to become model for a teenage magazine. During her model days, she often visited her older sister in her agency office and the staff there repeteadly offered Megumi to debut as singer herself. At first she kept reject it since she has watched her sister struggling so hard for years yet could never achieved success. She eventually accepted the offer, partly because she was afraid that company would fired her sister if she kept rejecting.
Asaoka Megumi made her debut in 1972. Her debut song: "Mebae" was a huge success, reached #3 in Oricon chart and sold 400,000 copies, made her into one of the top idols in her era. But, this song: "Watashi no Kare wa Hidarikiki" was even more popular, reached #1 in Oricon chart and sold 500,000 copies. This song was so hype back then, it inspired companies to manufactured products for left-handed people.

This song also earned Megumi an appeareance in Kohaku Uta Gassen (a prestigious tv program aired in new year eve every single years since 1953; an all-star song battle that only elite singers of the years will be invited to perfom there) in December 31, 1973:

In her career, Asaoka Megumi has 1 song that reached #1 in Oricon chart, and has performed 1 time in Kohaku Uta Gassen. A survey by a music program in 2011 have made a list of "Top 50 Idols of All Time" based on their song sales, and Asaoka Megumi was ranked #47 with a total of 3,020,000 sales.
Megumi was well-known for her hime haircut. That haircut was actually used by young girls from noble family in ancient Japan. It caused Megumi sometimes to be nicknamed: "Hime-sama"(princess) in her idol days. But (according to her wikipedia page) in her family tree, her ancestor actually had some connection with a real noble clan. When she was a baby, Megumi even used to live in a real castle with her grandparents for a few months. But she choosed that haircut not because of history or some grand reason, but it simply because it was simple to maintain and easy to make many variations with it (considering she didn't have stylist and makeup team and need to do everything by herself in her early career). Megumi became a trendsetter where her signature haircut became a trend among young girls in early 1970s, even some celebrities of that era used it too. Well, even now, hime haircut still used by some people, from ordinary girls to celebrities, and it's even very popular for anime characters design.

^ don't know from what year this was but it's definitely in 2020s (because of COVID protocol). And Hayami Yuu (3:30) is everywhere, not only she is often seen with 1980s idols, she could even be seen with Megumi too.
