Fiumi, i torrenti e i mari

My friend, I am so sorry to be forced to write public comments to you. I tried to send you a private message, but you disabled PMs receiving and blocked everyone from sending you PMs.
I think you are doing good work with your translations Hebrew > Italian and vice versa, it’s a language pair that only a few people know. So you are also building a bridge between two different cultures, and I highly appreciate it. Also, I like this kind of songs.
But I’m afraid most of your translations are largely based on GT or other automatic translators, which is not allowed on this website.
As you requested proofreading, I will help you as regards the accuracy of the Italian phrasing.
But I strongly recommend you not to use any automatic tool in the future.
So:
Grande cosa, cosa meravigliosa > Una gran cosa, una cosa meravigliosa
Amore la speranza > L’amore, la speranza
Estate, inverno, autunno, primavera > Add an article before each season: L’estate, l’inverno, l’autunno, la primavera
guardarsi > guardarti
Please notice that there is a difference between “una buona anima” and “un’anima buona”: the first means a well-formed soul; the latter means a good soul (in the sense of kind, gentle)
Fiori e alberi sbocciano (blooming flowers and trees) > Alberi e fiori che sbocciano (in italian, the verb “sbocciare” can be used for flowers but not for trees). Or else, you can say: Fiori e alberi fioriti (meaning trees covered with flowers)
Cielo, luna, stelle > Il cielo, la luna e le stelle (normally, singular nouns require an article)
vacanze > giorni di festa
Mani e testa > Le mani e la testa
cose così belle > delle cose bellissime
Mettere i bambini nel mondo > Mettere al mondo i figli
guardare > vedere (you can say “guardare” when you are looking/whatching/staring something)
Thank you for your comments. As an Italian language beginner learner I found it the only way to bridge these two songs translators communities. It might have been too ambitious for my current Italian level. How can one spread good songs to an exotic language without help ?
while the proofreading button is only for the level of thin nuances.
Maybe another similar branch or community should be opened beside this site for free movements. I find it exciting to transfer national and personal poetry to a language I don't even think of speaking.
Anyhow, I do apologize for crossing the lines few times.
It was not done for pride or public relations, just for linguistic adventures.
Surely I'll use your Italian comments to improve mine.
Thank you again for your polite message.
Do my best to operate more carefully.
Soldi,
I can also help you with the English should you run into any issues or have any wish for a second opinion as it's my mother tongue. Also, I would welcome your review of my translations from Hebrew into English.
However, i do prefer not to do it in public for reasons that i think you know already as I don't like to cause anyone public embarrassment. So for this reason please consider enabling your messaging under your profile, private messages.
~Moshe
