Crow chicks
Oh, crow chicks are in the mountains, and girls are in the valley,
Cut and chop the trees, it's all green wherever you look, crow chicks.
Ivanko came out of nowhere, Ivanko came out of nowhere,
Cut and chop the trees, it's all green wherever you look, Ivanko.
He drove away all the girls, and only took Mariika with him,
Cut and chop the trees, it's all green wherever you look, took with him.
He took her to the garden and picked some berries for her,
Cut and chop the trees, it's all green wherever you look, some berries.
"Eat berries, Mariika, and forget about the girls,
Cut and chop the trees, it's all green wherever you look, and forget about the girls.

Qui traduit ?
The word "karchata" is an archaism of Turkic origin, which means "crow chicks".
It should also be added that in Ukrainian folk crows and ravens symbolize all the things that has something to do with evil: death, afterworld, malign forces, etc.
