This site is called lyricstranslate.com for a reason: because it's about lyrics not monologues.
BTW the word "lyric" has Greek roots and should be even clearer to you.

Internet forums are not democracies but theocracies - there are the admins/gods, their elected mods and editors, and the common folk :D That's how pretty much any website I know works. Compared to some other sites, the staff here is really nice to users.

There are other sites for translations - and the owners care 0 about their users and they surely won't give them any rights. You can push a button when there are wrong lyrics and guess what? In most cases it has no influence at all. Honestly, your poems and your translations are yours and that's it.

@DarkJoshua Can you please exemplify where was that megalomaniacbehavior? Is it us the day by day lil' users? Hmm i'm quite doubting that ..I personaly raised a simple question , at which i do hope i can get an lil' answear and that's all , ohh and as for the rest , yes i consider i am quite right LT is US , all of us and more things should be done to show that ( maybe voting polls , more forums idk ...)

I give up , this being my last reply as the discussion it ll drag way too long , and have such a lil signifiance i feel.. and i really am not in the mood ( i won't reply anymore on this forum , we can discuss always in private , i ll be glad to do so ) ... Your line is the old line "If not like it , leave" (or so it sounds to me when you say 'We are all free to use the website or ignore it completely') .. i heard it over and over again.
Some points i want to clarify
1st No one disrespected , anyone here , i only personaly stated a truth and raised a question , and Mamba did also only that, on this particular forum .
2st It is true ' it's not us who fix bugs and it's not us who change the code of the website to implement new features.' It is us the ones whom help them to be fixed by reporting them , and us the ones whom helps implementing those new feautures .
3st The admins of course that they're doing a great job , but of course there always will be people who will have something to say , .. what can we do !?
4stOppinions stated here were very diplomatic , i can t seem to find that meghomaniac or what you called it behavior here , but like i said only people speaking .
5st From what you said "LT would still be a thing even without you and me, because if I weren't here, someone else would" Well idk but guess what , i heard this said by a co worker of mine he is in a political partid which is known to be the most thievery one in Romania .. and when i've asked him "But look , they voted , against your children future perspective!" (exepmplified why ) , told him how that partid buys votes .. etc , and finally asked him why he is part of it and still continues to do it this person told me " well , look if i won't do it and be one of this partid and , go enjoy the assets it provides me , (and not care about others etc) someone else will do " So you see , now the point is that .. yes there will be someone else but the change is starting with us and at a certain time all contributed , and also it'll matter what it'll come , plus that "Why can't we do something to keep the ones we have , and to also show profesionalism and by doing so , adding new members on the comunity ? I will agree with Radu in this one. We are the members, without us, the site wouldn't exist. We are like a small society here (with different people). We should have vote for these non-democratic rules. We don't want any king or queen, we should decide for us, not 1 or 2-3 people who "created" the site. Have you heard about Robin Hood? It's the same story...

Just allow me to ask something: what should be done with those monologues that have already been added prior to Jan 1 2019? I don't think we should penalize users who translated them. IMHO, old entries could remain (maybe make them 'untranslatable'), but new ones, added after this date, are to be removed.
