"nearly endure" => das "nearly" würde ich weglassen, das ist auch nicht im Original.

"Did we maybe reveal ourselves" => The original means something different here: "Did we become traitors unto ourselves" or "Did we betray our own cause".
"and now it turns silent around us" => I think "Now silence falls all around us" is more poetic. :)
